Kelena Annette Hicks, a 38-year-old woman from Mount Vernon, Alabama, was tragically killed on June 24, 2014, in what authorities later classified as a homicide. The incident occurred in a residential area, where law enforcement officers were called to the scene after receiving reports of a shooting.
