Tyrelle N. Kynard, a 17-year-old from Phenix City, Alabama, was fatally shot on the evening of September 19, 2014. The incident occurred near the 1500 block of 26th Avenue in Phenix City, a neighborhood that had been the site of prior incidents of violence.
