On May 17, 2015, 13-year-old Elijah "Eli" Estrada was fatally shot at a residence on County Road 51 in Collinsville, Alabama. Initially, the incident was reported as an accidental shooting involving a relative. Emergency responders transported Eli to DeKalb Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
