On December 29, 2023, 59-year-old David Pitts of Montgomery, Alabama, was fatally shot. That evening, around 8:00 p.m., Montgomery police were alerted to a local hospital where Pitts had arrived with a gunshot wound. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries. Investigations revealed that the shooting occurred in the 4000 block of Cresta Circle, located just off West Boulevard.
