On August 1, 2015, 52-year-old Abdul Malek AlSabahi was found shot to death in the front yard of a home in the 5700 block of 14th Street South in Lipscomb, Alabama. His wife discovered his body outside what authorities believe was an illegal gambling site. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with Lipscomb Police, initiated an investigation into the incident.
