On February 6, 2019, the body of 63-year-old Fredrick O'Neal Harris was discovered near train tracks in Lipscomb, Alabama. A FedEx driver found Harris's remains wrapped in garbage bags and secured with tape. Harris, a disabled U.S. Army veteran from Center Point, was last seen on February 2, 2019. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office determined his death to be a homicide, noting a significant head wound.
