Mario T. Sparks, a 30-year-old man from Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally shot on November 30, 2015, in what authorities later determined to be a homicide. Sparks was found with multiple gunshot wounds at an apartment complex in the eastern part of Birmingham. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, Sparks was pronounced dead shortly after being discovered.
