On June 23, 2016, 18-year-old Jeffery Demetrius Ford Jr. was fatally shot in Mobile, Alabama. The incident occurred after Ford agreed to meet Teandre Kimbrough at the Thomas Sullivan Community Center. An argument ensued between the two men, during which Kimbrough shot Ford in the chest. Ford was transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
