On July 30, 2016, 26-year-old Christopher Jamel Bailey was fatally shot outside Plum's Lounge, a nightclub located on Montgomery Highway in Dothan, Alabama. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m., when Bailey was ambushed in the parking lot. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds, including injuries to his head, back, chest, arm, and leg, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
