On August 11, 2016, 20-year-old African American male Justin Marquise Prentice was fatally shot alongside his 65-year-old grandmother, Ruby Prentice, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The suspect in the double homicide was identified as 66-year-old Victor Neal Prentice, the husband of Ruby and grandfather of Justin.
