On November 2, 2016, in Glencoe, Alabama, 62-year-old Jimmie Ray Lively and his partner, 65-year-old Joyce Ann Brown Good, were found dead in their home on Aderholt Street. The incident began as a domestic dispute involving Good's son, 43-year-old Jeremy James Jerry. During the altercation, Jerry fatally shot both his mother and Lively.
