On January 26, 2017, 24-year-old Minney Lee was fatally shot in Auburn, Alabama. The incident occurred in front of a residence on Lunsford Drive, following a dispute between Lee and her boyfriend, Derrick Antavis Oliver. Oliver, then 26 years old and a resident of Opelika, was arrested by Auburn Police on the same day and charged with murder in connection to Lee's death.
