On July 10, 2025, 13-year-old Zynniya Wright, a girl from Auburn, Alabama, was found dead alongside her mother after officers forced entry during a welfare check at a home on Samantha Court around 2:30 p.m. The discovery triggered an Amber Alert for a missing three-year-old boy connected to the residence, and authorities immediately identified the situation as a double homicide. The Lee County Coroner later confirmed the victims as 34-year-old Tyeisha Williams and 13-year-old Zynniya Wright.
