On February 21, 2017, at approximately 5:12 a.m., Mobile Police Department officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in front of the 1500 block of Heron Drive in the Birdville community of Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 40-year-old Idrian Gardner inside the doorway of a vacant apartment, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Gardner was pronounced dead at the scene.
