In the spring of 2024, the life of 35-year-old Justin Jamal Slater was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire in Prichard, Alabama. On the afternoon of Sunday, April 28th, Slater was found on the side of West Main Street, the victim of a fatal shooting. His death was one of three unrelated homicides that rocked the small city within a 24-hour period, prompting concern from local officials and residents alike.
