On May 16, 2017, in Russellville, Alabama, 22-year-old Brittney Stiles was fatally shot by her husband, 30-year-old Army veteran Joshua Stiles, during an ongoing domestic dispute. The incident occurred around 7 a.m. outside a family member's home as Brittney was placing their infant child into a vehicle.
