Kelley Davis Thornton, 57, a White/Caucasian woman, was found dead from gunshot wounds on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in the Coats Bend/Turkey Town community outside Gadsden, Alabama. Deputies with the Etowah County Sheriff's Office were called around midday to a residence in the 6000 block of Old Highway 411, where they discovered the body of Kelley Davis Thornton alongside that of a 71-year-old man, identified in reports as James Timothy Thornton.
