On May 17, 2017, in Gadsden, Alabama, 23-year-old Anibal Cristobal Francisco was fatally shot during an apparent robbery at his residence on the 500 block of Taylor Street. Responding to a disturbance call shortly after 4 a.m., Gadsden police officers observed an individual fleeing from the rear of the home. After a brief foot chase, the suspect was apprehended.
