On June 21, 2017, 25-year-old Corey Walker was fatally shot while driving on Highway 203 in Montevallo, Alabama. The incident occurred in the afternoon when Walker and another individual were traveling in a vehicle that was fired upon. The gunfire caused the vehicle to veer off the road and collide with a tree. Walker succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the condition of the other occupant was not disclosed.
