In the early morning hours of a Thursday in Birmingham, Alabama, the stillness was broken by the discovery of a young man's life cut tragically short. Nineteen-year-old James Jean Hendricks was found in the front yard of an abandoned house, his body bearing the fatal marks of multiple gunshot wounds. First responders arrived at the scene, and he was pronounced dead at approximately 1:00 a.m. on August 24, 2017.
