On October 15, 2017, 31-year-old Maurice Morris was fatally shot during an altercation on the back patio of Club Onyx, located at 615 8th Avenue West near Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama. He was transported to Princeton Baptist Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
