On November 13, 2017, 56-year-old Larry Sanders was found deceased in his Birmingham, Alabama home. His brother discovered him unresponsive, seated in a chair in his bedroom, after being alerted by Sanders' employer that he had not reported to work. Upon arrival, Birmingham Police officers observed that Sanders had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel confirmed his death at the scene.
