Kelvin Cooley, a 31-year-old man from Montgomery, Alabama, was fatally shot on October 23, 2017, in what authorities later confirmed to be a homicide. The shooting took place in the early evening in a residential area of Montgomery, prompting police to respond to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire.
