In the fall of 2017, the life of Robert "Bobby" Hancock, a 47-year-old White male and a dedicated police officer, came to a tragic end in Birmingham, Alabama. On November 1, 2017, Hancock, an officer with the Vestavia Hills Police Department, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident occurred while he was on duty.
