On January 15, 2018, in Birmingham, Alabama, 28-year-old Eric Cotton was fatally shot inside a residence on the 3600 block of 45th Avenue North in the Harriman Park neighborhood. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. Cotton was pronounced dead at the scene.
