On April 13, 2018, 38-year-old Jeremy Anthony Davis of Bessemer, Alabama, was fatally shot during a drug-related incident. That evening, deputies were summoned to the Midfield Police Department's parking lot, where they discovered Davis deceased in the passenger seat of a vehicle.
