On the night of July 13, 2018, 40-year-old Ryan O'Shaughnessy Baker was found deceased in a room at the Budget Inn on University Drive in Huntsville, Alabama. An investigation into his death was launched by the Huntsville Police Department, who determined that Baker was a victim of gun violence. His death was ruled a homicide, prompting a search for those responsible.
