On October 12, 2017, 21-year-old Demarius Roger Smith was fatally shot in Huntsville, Alabama. The incident occurred around 4 PM on Greenhill Drive, where Smith was a passenger in a vehicle targeted by multiple individuals who opened fire. Smith sustained a gunshot wound and succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter at Huntsville Hospital.
