On the night of September 5, 2018, 30-year-old Preston Lemar Robinson was found shot to death in the middle of Meadow Lane in Birmingham's Green Acres neighborhood. Responding to reports of a person shot, officers arrived just before 10:30 p.m. and discovered Robinson lying in the roadway, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
