On May 27, 2010, Michael McKoy, a 38-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., was murdered in the 1600 block of V Street, Southeast. The homicide occurred in the afternoon, around 2:31 p.m. Responding officers found McKoy at the scene, where he had sustained multiple stab wounds. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) immediately initiated an investigation and appealed to the public for assistance in gathering information related to the incident.
