On Tuesday, June 8, 2010, Don Jones, aged 43, was tragically shot and killed in Fort Dupont Park, located at 3400 Minnesota Avenue SE in Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 4:40 p.m. Responding to reports of gunfire, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) arrived on the scene and discovered Jones had been fatally wounded. Despite their efforts, Jones succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
