An African-American male with a promising future, Watson was making his way home from his job at an airport restaurant, filled with the anticipation of holiday celebrations with his family.
Having just stepped off a MARTA bus, he was walking through the parking lot of the Lakewood shopping center when he was fatally shot.
The motive for the attack appeared to be robbery, though reports indicated that he was not carrying any cash at the time.
