In the bleak pre-dawn hours of Christmas Eve in 2012, the life of 18-year-old Joshua Watson was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence in Atlanta, Georgia. An African-American male with a promising future, Watson was making his way home from his job at an airport restaurant, filled with the anticipation of holiday celebrations with his family. Having just stepped off a MARTA bus, he was walking through the parking lot of the Lakewood shopping center when he was fatally shot.
