On the evening of August 28, 2024, 31-year-old Kwesi Miller, a man of no fixed address, was found unconscious and not breathing by Metropolitan Police Department officers. The officers were responding to a report of a shooting in the 5000 block of H Street, Southeast in Washington, D.C., at approximately 6:58 p.m. Miller was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical services transported Miller to a local hospital.
Despite all life-saving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the shooting as a homicide and is actively seeking assistance from the public. A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Miller's death. At this time, there have been no arrests made in the case, and no suspects have been publicly identified as the investigation remains ongoing.
