On December 24, 2019, 10-month-old Jamaya Asiana Austin was fatally shot in Monroeville, Alabama. The incident occurred in the Peterman community, where authorities reported that Tamika Stallworth fired into an occupied vehicle, striking Jamaya in the face. The infant was transported to Monroe County Emergency Room and subsequently to University Hospital in Mobile, where she succumbed to her injuries on December 26, 2019.
