On February 8, 2020, at approximately 10:21 AM, the Mobile County Sheriff's Office received reports of gunshots in the area of Fernwood Loop North and Fernwood Loop West in Semmes, Alabama. Shortly thereafter, a local hospital notified authorities that 19-year-old Langston Banku Nicholson had been transported by a friend with a gunshot wound to his upper torso.
