On February 21, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting at a residence on Whip Poor Will Ct. South in Semmes, Alabama. The victim, Dennis Walker Owens, a 53-year-old male, was fatally shot at the scene. Authorities were alerted to the incident by the shooter himself, Michael Blake Allen, a 32-year-old male, who called law enforcement to report the shooting.
