In the early hours of April 25, 2020, 43-year-old Deshun Dirden was found deceased near the Patterson Street Apartments in Atmore, Alabama. At approximately 1:24 a.m., Atmore Police responded to a 911 call reporting an assault victim with apparent gunshot and stab wounds. Upon arrival, officers discovered Dirden's body on a sidewalk outside the apartment complex; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
