In the early morning hours of April 25, 2020, the life of 43-year-old Desmond Deshun Dirden was tragically cut short in Atmore, Alabama. Police responded to a 911 call around 1:24 a.m. regarding an assault at the Patterson Street Apartments. Upon arrival, they discovered Dirden's body on a sidewalk within the complex. He had sustained both a gunshot and a stab wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene before emergency medical personnel could render aid.
