On November 29, 2020, 35-year-old Matthew Micquistian Patton was found deceased in a ditch off King Road near Fob James Drive in Valley, Alabama. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Earlier that morning, around 3:30 a.m., Patton was seen walking away from the Jet Pep gas station on Fob James Drive. His body was discovered approximately three and a half hours later, at 7:00 a.m.
