On December 18, 2020, Davonta Coley, a 20-year-old Black male from Montgomery, Alabama, lost his life to gun violence. The fatal shooting occurred in the 3800 block of Liberty Square Drive. Authorities confirmed that Davonta Coley succumbed to gunshot wounds at the scene. His death was among multiple shootings reported in Montgomery within a 24-hour period.
