On January 9, 2021, 21-year-old Mekhi Kareem Douglas was found lying in the roadway with a gunshot wound at the intersection of Sparkman Drive and Mountain Park Circle in Huntsville, Alabama. Emergency medical services pronounced him deceased at the scene.
