On the night of May 6, 2021, a burst of gunfire in Montgomery, Alabama, tragically cut short the life of 21-year-old Joshua Pettiway, a Black male resident of the city. He was pronounced dead at the scene, a victim of a fatal shooting that also left another individual wounded.
