In the summer of 2021, a welfare check at a Dothan, Alabama, residence unfolded into a heart-wrenching tragedy, revealing the untimely deaths of 29-year-old Allie Helms Lam and her husband. On July 15th, authorities were dispatched to the home of Allie, a Caucasian female, and 34-year-old Tue Sehn Lam. After forcing entry into the house, deputies made a grim discovery in the bathroom where both individuals were found deceased, each having sustained gunshot wounds to the chest.
The
preliminary findings of the investigation pointed towards a devastating murder-suicide. It is believed that Tue Sehn Lam fatally shot his wife before turning the gun on himself. The couple's two young sons were not present at the residence at the time of the incident and were subsequently placed under the care of the Department of Human Resources.
