In the late hours of August 23, 2024, the life of 35-year-old Shannette Yvonne Colbert, a Black/African American woman, was tragically cut short in her Dothan, Alabama, home. The residence, located on the 2700 block of East Cottonwood Road, became a crime scene after a heated argument escalated to fatal violence.
