Death by Force

On the night of January 28, 2022, 17-year-old Javarius Deon Reid was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 11:40 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 2900 block of 16th Street North. Upon arrival, they discovered multiple spent shell casings in the roadway.
