In the late hours of a Friday night in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 17-year-old Javarius Deon Reid was tragically cut short. On January 28, 2022, Reid was a passenger in a vehicle traveling in the 2900 block of 16th Street North when the sound of gunfire suddenly pierced the night. It is believed that he was an innocent bystander, caught in the crossfire of a conflict he had no part in.
