On February 20, 2022, Kenneth Dobbins, a 26-year-old African American male from Gadsden, Alabama, was fatally shot in the early morning hours. Officers from the Gadsden Police Department responded to reports of gunfire around 4:00 a.m. in the 400 block of Chestnut Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Kenneth Dobbins suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
