On May 6, 2022, in Bessemer, Alabama, 48-year-old Warren Oliver "Berney" Weatherspoon was involved in a fatal altercation. The incident occurred shortly before midnight at the intersection of 24th Street and Berkley Avenue, where an argument escalated, leading to Weatherspoon being shot.
