On May 24, 2022, 61-year-old Hugh Lorain White III was fatally shot in Mobile, Alabama. The incident occurred near Demetropolis Road, close to Olive J. Dodge Elementary School. Authorities identified his son, 24-year-old Cody White, as the suspect. Cody was arrested and charged with his father's murder.
