In the late hours of a cold Tuesday night in Washington, D.C., the life of 32-year-old Elvin Jessie Johnson, Jr., an African-American male, was tragically cut short. On February 4, 2014, at approximately 11:52 PM, gunshots echoed in the 4200 block of Foote Street, NE, leaving Johnson with a fatal wound.
