On December 15, 2022, the body of 32-year-old Gilbert Rudolph Bohannon III was discovered in an industrial area off Smith Road, northeast of Citronelle, Alabama. Investigators determined that Bohannon had likely been shot multiple times at a different location the previous day, and his body was subsequently discarded along the dirt road where it was found.
