On February 9, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred on Summer Street in Citronelle, Alabama, resulting in the death of 45-year-old Marlon Trayvelle Pierce from Deer Park. The incident also left 49-year-old Clifford Kirksey from Citronelle critically injured with gunshot wounds.
